Noah gets hands-on with a pre-production N8 running Symbian^3 at a media event at Dolby Labs in San Francisco.

Spb Software is well known for their Mobile Shell product for Windows Mobile that provides a fully customized user interface layer on top of the mobile operating system. They have now brought this functionality to S60 5th Edition devices and you can now get a without having to buy a new device. Customizability is king with this application and it shows.

Scott Weiss of the Symbian Foundation talks about the new user experiences coming in Symbian^3.

The C6 is the second in line to ’s CSeries lineup of phones. The CSeries aims at providing cheaper range of smartphones. The C6 follows the tradition by providing a touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard at a cheap price.

The C6 looks like a 5230 with an added QWERTY keyboard. It seems to be running Symbian^1 from the picture. But should have worked out the bugs which were present in the N97 etc.
