Noah gets hands-on with a pre-production Nokia running Symbian^3 at a Nokia media event at Dolby Labs in San Francisco.

Spb Software is well known for their Mobile Shell product for Windows Mobile that provides a fully customized user interface layer on top of the mobile operating system. They have now brought this functionality to S60 5th Edition devices and you can now get a fresh device without having to buy a new device. Customizability is king with this application and it shows.

Scott Weiss of the Symbian Foundation talks about the new user experiences coming in Symbian^3.

The Nokia C6 is the second in line to Nokia’s CSeries lineup of phones. The CSeries aims at providing cheaper range of smartphones. The Nokia C6 follows the tradition by providing a touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard at a cheap price.

The C6 looks like a Nokia 5230 with an added QWERTY keyboard. It seems to be running Symbian^1 from the picture. But Nokia should have worked out the bugs which were present in the Nokia N97 etc.
