Samsung Wave powered by BADA hands-on and funny unboxing
According to earlier announcements, Samsung’s smartphone running the OS will examine the model, cheaper and less well equipped than the Wave. On board the S7200 should be: Super AMOLED screen resolution of 240 x 400, Samsung S3C6410 system (ARM11) with a 800MHz timing, format with support for OpenGL ES 2.0, 3G HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, camera and a slot 5Mpix microSD cards. Although the layout of the Samsung S3C6410 does not belong to the most recent should be sufficient for the S7200 – the graphics processor supports OpenGL ES 2.0, which involves examining OS, and the same processor is relatively fast. However, there is nothing to expect a performance comparable to the Wave.

Samsung S7200 for sale probably will be a holiday, and its price should fluctuate around 250-300 euros.

Today Samsung announced the Wave, its first handset to run Samsung’s home-developed Bada operating system. The Wave is a slab-style touch phone that has a 3.3-inch, 800 x 480, Super AMOLED display that is smudge resistant. The central feature of the Wave is software developed by Samsung called Hub. Similar to Motorola’s MOTOBLUR, Hub combines a user’s email, instant messaging, social networks and calendar events into a single stream. Hub uses push technology to deliver a real-time stream of information to the Wave. The Wave also has TouchWiz 3.0, the newest version of Samsung’s touchphone user interface. TouchWiz 3.0 has a 3D interface and offers improved user customization and flexibility, allowing users to personal their device.
Other features of the Wave include a 5.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, blink protection and 720p HD video capture. It is the first phone to have Bluetooth 3.0, and also has a 1GHz processor, Wi-Fi, aGPS, FM radio, and an accelerometer. It will support microSD cards up to 32GB, and comes with 8GB on-board storage. The Wave has quad-band GSM/EDGE and HSDPA 900/2100 support. It is also compatible with Samsung’s application store. The Wave will be available in select markets beginning in April 2010.
